So is the bread on the side used to make multiple sandwiches out of meat mountain? Do I have to pay extra for them to just make them into regular sandwiches?

Can I get you anything else?
*Yeah, a loaf of bread and some other people*.

My brother & myself split one of those, we barely finished it. Loved the pickle bar!

That sandwich is about $100 and will feed six. Traditional to order with potato pancakes. There’s pickle bar. Includes coleslaw. Always order with Dr. Brown’s Cream Soda.

That’s a fat stack.

A lot of haters in here lol. It’s a pile of meat for making multiple sandwiches.

What’s the weight on that.

I used to go to the one in Lyndhurst all the time. But I heard it closed down? 10 Polito way!
I didn’t know they had another spot? Pickle bar? Plenty of bread? Crazy cakes?

Harold’s was wild in the early 90s. Lots of tables, long waits, piles of food. That specific plate was about $35 back then. Lightning in a bottle. Looked at their menu a few years ago post-Covid, and I just couldn’t justify the prices for a nostalgia hit.
Hope you enjoyed it! It can be a fun, unique experience.

Mother of God!!! Reminds me of carnegie deli back in the day.

For those hating, the restaurant also has personal sized sandwiches. Their meat is also great so it’s well worth it
I’m normally against food you have to put together yourself but it takes like no effort and you can’t mess up taking a couple pieces of bread, putting whatever condiment on, and meats. This isnt like you’re having to put together a burrito lol

Russian dressing?

I love the triple decker from there… turkey, pastrami, and corned beef…

I miss that place

Tought the guy who bought it used to own the Carnegie and somewhere else?? Regardless, I’m not sure I love their business model which is, as I recall uou’re paying for portions that will feed at least two. So perish, the thought you’re with someone who doesn’t want to eat what you are in the mood for. I’ve yet to have a better pastrami anywhere than Katz. I’ve had a lot of pastrami. ( Romanian pastrami excluded because that’s a different topic)
But see for me, it’s not a trendy hotspot. It’s a place I used to go with my family at least one Sunday a month. Well before Harry or Sally met. We did go to one really good deli in Jersey, near my family cemetery. But I would have to call my cousin to ask the name. But this wasn’t it.

I had that when I went there. I took it home and it fed me for a week. The cake was good, too, and similarly sized!
